About this directory
People often learn about free medical-equipment loan closets by word of mouth, and many are small volunteer programs with no website. This site collects them in one place for the whole United States. Every state and the District of Columbia has its state assistive-technology program listed; local loan closets are listed where we have found and read their pages. Coverage is uneven, no list here is complete, and local closets in many states are not yet researched.
How listings are made
- Every listing links to a public page where its details were read, and shows the date it was last checked.
- We list phone numbers and emails only when the program's own page or a named public list publishes them. Each phone number shows its source link and the date we checked it.
- If we found a program only on a third-party list, it is labeled Unconfirmed until its own page or a phone call confirms it.
- We do not collect health information, and we do not lend or sell equipment.
Who runs it
This is an independent community-minded project. Listings are compiled from public sources, and each one links to the page it came from.

Other resources exist, including the national GotDME directory, state assistive-technology programs, and 211. Use whatever helps you find equipment faster. This site's goal is a source and a last-verified date on every entry.
